I am currently only selling originals on this site but posters and high quality prints can be purchased from my redbubble or my Fine Art America profile.
You Are What You Eat

collaboration with Sebastian Olejnik
"You Are What You Eat" displays ideas of reincarnation and rebirth in nature. The Pear's past lives are displayed in its face as it re-enters the food chain. The Pear represents the passage of time and the ever changing face of nature. It also has a very literal meaning in our modern world where we are uninformed as to the chemicals and pesticides that cover our food. The man is unaware of the pears chemical makeup and past but intends to ingest it regardless.
My heart is open and bleeding
It weeps, it gives, it loves
It drips through the cracks
I can only hold so much in my hands
It all overflows
take it!
Keep it!
let me love you

Vase with Sunflowers

$545
My Mother grew these lovely sunflowers outside our garage this year. We watched them grow from the kitchen window and then we watched the squirrels fight with the crows for the seeds. My mom resued these and they sat on our kitchen table throughout September. They are now preserved in this painting, I hope you enjoy them!

Ms. Fegi

This painting came from a photograph taken of Anna Fegi singing “The Man That Got Away.” The tilt of her head and the passion with which she is singing into the mike relates directly to the topic and distraught nature of the song. Singing about the man that she loves who wants nothing more to do with her. In a last fight of desperation she offers herself to him and opens her heart but to no avail as he walks away leaving her crumpled on the floor to face the fact that she is alone and must move on with her life without him.

Indian

This painting is from the opening sequence in a Bolllywood themed pas de deux. The brilliance of the spotlights white out much of the details of the couple leaving much of the image to the audience’s imagination.

Lexi

This painting is of my friend Lexi. The original photograph was taken in a back alley in downtown Vancouver. I found the contrast between her graceful arabesque line and the dirty buildings to be mesmerizing. A passionate dancer surrounded by cold concrete.

Hannah in Blue

This piece was painted form a picture taken of a close friend of mine while fooling around in the dance studio. The simplicity of this painting captures her grace and passion for dance rather than the strict details found in a more realistic image.

Pointe shoes

There is nothing more beautiful to a dancer than their own dirty broken down pointe shoes. The blood sweat and dedication to their art form resides in the worn down satin; making every shoe uniquely special in its own way.

On Pointe

This painting was created to display the simple beauty as well as the strength needed by dancers. The black and white contrast of the image simplifies the meaning, taking the viewer back to the basics in an attempt to display why dancers work so hard for their art.
