One of the best web sites for selling original paintings is www.originalartonline.com it allows the artist to set up their own gallery and gives them full control over the shipping and pricing of their works. The cost for a standard gallery per month is $5.95 which in my opinion is dirt cheap.

The site allows buyers to search the artwork by artist, medium and subject which optimizes your artworks viewing chances. The site is easily to navigate and accounts are easily set up. There is no up keep required of the artist which makes the site simple to use without jepordising valuable time.

Art, painting and creation has always been part of my life. I have recently been working towards making it into a career. Through hours of research and way to much time on the internet I have discovered a few websites that do a commendable job of displaying and promoting artists.

My favorite is Redbubble.com (www.redbubble.com/people/rachelledyer) is comparable to facebook in the way you create your profile and network by joining groups and favoriting other's work. This site allows you to sell various types and sizes of prints of your work as well as greeting cards and T-shirts. The site is free to join and allows you to set the markup on your products. While you may not make as much money on each individual print it saves you the time and effort (as well as scanning fees) of printing you own glicees. You simply have to upload a high quality photograph and Redbubble does the rest!
I highly recomend this site!
